The repertoire from the group concerns Dutch dances.
They are old dances, but also dances on music from sometimes 100 years ago fitted on a new choreography. Most dancers are from the Twentse region as there is the "Driekusman", the "Hoaksebarger" and the "Smiet oe wief weg", translated it means "Throw your wife away".
You can also find these dances in Germany, just across the border. We live nearby the German border and in the early days the hawkers, musicians or familymembers brought these dances with them from Germany or the otherway around. Music and dance have no limits.

A Spanish walsh or Veleta or an Old Step are dances which people dance in Holland but also far across the borders. We know for example dances from Friesland. The "Simmermoarnwals" is a sample of that and what do you think of "Utrechtse" or " "Keperen Schots" or a "Hakke Toone".

Our dancingteacher, Wim Hofman, searched in old books or visits a course to teach the dance-group, some new dances, so that the dancers stay involved and motivated.
